Wedding Ring Guide

Home / Education / Jewellery Guide / Wedding Ring Guide

Being the pioneer of bridal jewellery in Malaysia and Brunei, you have come to the right place to understand more about wedding ring. In this guide, we will walk you through various things to be considered, including right metal to be used, pairing choices, customisation of wedding band etc.

Symbolisation of Wedding Ring

A wedding ring denotes with deep meaning, a token of love and devotion shared among two as indicated by the circular shape of the ring – love without end. This emblem of love is exchanged between two people on their wedding day and worn to show the world that they are officially married.

What is the Difference Between a Wedding Ring and a Wedding Band?

Both seen on a technical level and heard in everyday conversation, a wedding ring and a wedding band are the same thing. They are always made with a pair design in mind, one for the groom and another, for the bride. You may look through our selection of wedding ring designs here and see if any capture your eyes.

Does It Always Have To Be The Same Pair?

The answer to this question is not necessarily, depending on the groom and bride-to-be. More often than not, some couples purchase different pairs that are suited to their own preference of style. If to their liking, the bride can opt for a sparkling eternity ring or a versatile stacking ring that can match their gorgeous engagement ring. The groom, however, mostly go for a ring with a plain design. Regardless of whether you know exactly what you want or are unsure of so, you may visit any of our showrooms and allow our sales consultant to pair your engagement and wedding ring for you. Alternatively, you can browse our selection of stacking rings here.

Popular Metals Used in Wedding Rings

Be it in platinum, white gold, rose gold, yellow gold or a mix of your preferred metals, we have many wedding ring designs that can accommodate to you. Though, to note, many of our customers purchase platinum. Pt950 Platinum is widely sought after as a metal forged for wedding rings due to its naturally hypoallergenic properties, higher density and weight. It offers a secured wearing experience and wears well over time. However, it is important to keep in mind that platinum wedding rings are one of the more expensive options when it comes to metal for your band. Many of our customers opt for white gold, for similar lustrous white look at a lower price.

Our wedding bands are categorised into Pure Love (platinum), Promise (18k white gold, rose gold or yellow gold) and Unity (rose gold with platinum) but they are mostly customisable to your preferred metal upon request.
